This handcrafted kyūsu teapot features a unique belt-like ceramic mesh strainer stretched along the inner wall of the vessel. With a wider surface area than conventional strainers, the design allows tea leaves to infuse evenly, preventing clumping and supporting a smoother, more balanced brew. It is designed for everyday use, well suited for sencha, hojicha, and other loose-leaf teas. 

Handmade in Tokoname, Japan, the kyūsu reflects a tradition where form and function are inseparable. Available only in limited quantities.

Craft

This kyūsu is handcrafted in Tokoname, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns and a region long celebrated for its tea ceramics. Tokoname ware is known for teapots designed specifically for daily tea drinking, where usability, durability, and subtle beauty are held in equal regard.
